Fashion editor, ELLE South Africa

‘Badaboom’ tee, Zara; studded skater skirt, Jay Jays; parka, Woolworths; wedged sneakers, Topshop, Bright lips, Ruby Woo from M.A.C

Key winter piece? The beanie has got to be one of my favourites this season! Not only does it keep me warm, but is also great for keeping my hair intact in the Cape Town wind. It doesn’t matter if it’s burgundy or bright, just make sure it’s really chunky and you’re good to go.

Winter hangout? At home. I love game nights, cooking with a bunch of friends and making the most of not being outdoors in the cold. It’s anything but boring.

Kelli Botha

Fashion design student at CPUT

Jacket, Zara; tee, Country road; scarf, Old Biscuit Mill; boots, Zoom; handbag, Woolworths; jeans, Mr Price

Key winter piece: A statement jacket. It is easy to wear, comfortable and matches almost everything – and it keeps you warm!

Winter hangout? The Power And The Glory because of the good company and cosy atmosphere. Also Bar Bar Black Sheep Restaurant in Riebeek Kasteel.

Elaine du Plessis

Fashion designer

Jeans, Country Road; pleated tunic, made by myself; brogues, Topshop; coat, vintage from Coats For Africa; hat, Woolworths; ring, my grandmother’s

Key winter piece? I have a weakness for big wool coats. If you have the patience to dig through the tightly packed rails in second-hand stores you can find some beautiful pieces.

Winter hangout? Societi Bistro for their fireplaces and mushroom risotto.
