From classic Oxfords and wing-tip brogues, warm chestnut monk straps and slim office boots, to weekend-cool sneakers and Chelsea boots, Tread + Miller has established itself as the pre-eminent home of men’s footwear in South Africa.
This winter, Tread+Miller continues to honour the essence of the brand – style and craftsmanship – with a classic range of footwear that embodies quality and style.
Classic styles are made new with fresh colour combinations, interesting leather textures and finishes. Chief among these are the new-look Chelsea boots with elastic gussets in a contrasting colour, or brogue detailing on the uppers.
When it comes to formal and work-appropriate shoes, shades of black, brown, tan and grey continue to prevail, with informal shoes such as the Arthur Jack Trey sneakers providing off-duty cool. For more rugged pursuits or styling, Tread+Miller has desert and combat boots for pairing with camo wear and jeans.
This season, Tread+Miller provides customers with more choice in terms of styling, as well as accessories. Take the Arthur Jack Woodstock range of leather bags with contrasting accents: customers can choose from a satchel, duffel or messenger bag, or a backpack. For heavier loads and longer trips, the Arthur Jack Madrid roller bag is still a favourite. To complete the modern man’s luggage set, Tread+Miller stocks Arthur Jack Berlin toiletry bags that fit perfectly into a gym bag.
For men who prefer something a little more snappy, Tread+Miller’s range of socks have been updated with new designs and brighter colours. But, the Simon and Mary winners will remain on the shelves. Olive and black are the top colours for the season and bowler hats remain the number-one choice. Simon and Mary is for the urban man (and woman, too) and typifies the Tread+Miller brand, with an ethos of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
What’s new for women
Rich colours, classic styling and interesting detail – the hallmark of Tread+Miller’s ranges – extend to a wider choice of styles. Boots come in a choice of ankle and Rider boot designs, while shoes have a masculine influence.
There is something for every style and lifestyle: ankle boots come in a choice of velskoen or urban Chelsea boots, with or without hardware, longer length boots range from equestrian-inspired to office- appropriate styles with heels. The colour range reflects winter favourites such as tan, chocolate, black and navy.
Masculine styling, such as brogues (with and without laces), penny loafers and monk straps, has inspired a range of women’s shoes offering extreme comfort, with a feminine edge.
The new designs will arrive in Tread+Miller stores throughout winter. Prices start at R599 for women’s shoes and R999 for men’s shoes.
