Mr P is a brand I hold close to my heart for many reasons, one of them being that the team is a special one. They are constantly doing something new and whatever it is, they do it really, really well. Take last week’s #MrPMySummer launch of Mr Price’s second collaboration with British designer Henry Holland. I am pretty sure you know all of this by now but just in case, here goes. Henry created an exclusive range of nine beaut dresses, each inspired by one of his friends: Katy Perry, Pixie Geldof, Alexa Chung, Kelly Osbourne, Agyness Deyn, Rihanna, Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea and Poppy Delevinge. (Nice friends.) I love the idea, because everyone sees a little of themselves in these stylish girls, the idea is to pick the dress that’s you.

My faves? The Riri – jungle vibe is a little out there for me but I went for it anyway – and the Striped Poppy, which also went home with me.
The launch, with Pixie Geldof and Henry Holland, was the chicest summer fest I have been to. Kind of Coachella, kind of garden party and kind of perfect. I’m talking a beauty bar, DIY tee-making table, food stalls, bands, pop-up shopping and my favourite, a large inflatable duck in the pool. You know the kind, they’ve been putting in appearances at VIP pool parties, Coachella festival after-parties and high-fashion editorials. Loved the duck.
How pretty is this flower-making stand? Flower crown making was a hit.
Beauty bar where you could get your nails done and your hair plaited.
Treats by the lovely Tina Bester of Queen of Tarts. Did a mention the soft-serve machine, cocktail or champagne bar?
ELLE’s Tarryn Oppel, Henry and me (It took about 20 minutes to get this money shot.)
How clever is this? Love, love, love. Upload to Instagram, use #MrPMySummer and, bam, we received our printed Instagram snap in a jiffy. Find it at 250 Gram.
Get your dress here and do get involved in Mr P’s Red Cap Foundation project. Here’s how.
I loved the attention to detail and Mr P’s 100% commitment to giving back too. Pick up one of Henry’s dresses for anything from R119 to R149 and for each one you buy R10 will go to The Red Cap Foundation Schools Project.

Seems to have been an awesome party! Mr P is truly growing ‘fashion-wiser’ & better at every season! Though i believe they should make habit of hosting their events more around Home{Durban} so to also grow & cultivate local fresh creatives as oppose to the expected & usual fashion-pack from Jhb & Cape Town. Those two major cities seemingly always stay loyal to their local “fashion-clans” so it would seem fitting for a Durban based big brand to promote Durban creatives & bloggers to the rest of SA rather than moving with the expected bloggers and socialites of JHB & Cape Town. #MyThoughts #Well done though Mr P.
Love this fresh look Mr p is taking, I want everything!!
