Glamour announced their 2017 Most Glamourous Women in South Africa in April and (surprise!) the line-up included our very own Jenna McArthur.
‘To be celebrated among South African entrepreneurs, businesswomen, thought leaders and creatives is a true honour,’ said our founder.
While we all love to look beautiful on the outside my theory is this – surround yourself with other strong women, support them, work hard and have a vision, drive and confidence is who you are. That, to me, is what glamour is all about.
Glamour asked Jenna her take on what Glamour is to personally, see what she has to say here!
What does glamour mean to you?
Glamour is confidence, knowing who you are and bringing something special to a look, whether it’s your attitude, a statement piece or that mystery that makes people say, “There’s something about her…”
What are the most glamorous items in your wardrobe?
A cropped faux-fur coat from my grandmother, my engagement ring and a sheer black Klûk CGDT dress with an amazing fishtail.
Who is your style icon?
I draw style inspiration everywhere, but Jackie Burger is iconic because she doesn’t follow trends and she understands glamour and confidence.
What’s the best style advice you’ve received?
My mom taught me that style is about being authentic and comfortable.
